Monday, Monday

I'm not so sure I'm ready for this week to start. I feel sort of out of things because I missed work Friday, even though I worked for a good four hours on Saturday. There are days where I can predict what's coming, and there are days when I have no idea at all what's going to hit me. Today's one of the no idea days.

Babies are sick all around me. The boy is trying to stop the cold from getting him and a couple of the BBE's girls are sick. I have a sneaking suspicion I will succumb. This week, I'll go to work sick. I can't miss time two weeks in a row!

I ran up to Seaford to get my girl for the afternoon yesterday. It's looking like she's going to come back to stay with us again. I'm feeling about 1/2 good about this idea (which is a hundred times better than I felt a couple weeks ago). I fear we'll have a repeat of what happened last year. I will encourage her frequently to get her stuff together so she can move out and be on her own. Hopefully leaving the nest will happen before we're at each other's throats again. It will be good to have her around to talk to, but the honest truth is that we make very bad housemates. But like my Mommom said, everything always works out. Maybe not the way we think it will, but it does always work out.

I cast on Girl Four's newest hat yesterday. I finished the ribbing and got to the first color change. I'm using this jogless stripe method from TechKnitting. And I was overly impressed last night, after two beers, at how pretty the color change looks. Yeah, I'm weird.
